The bodys weight isnt a concern if the car has enough power to test the chassis and the handling and suspension are able to deal with this weight - the Supra has great handling and power as stock.ĭude, the E30 M3 has been voted track day car of the year in the past it has fantastic handling, the same goes for the newer ones as well. The Supra's heavy body does make it a little too unstable around corners. If that was the cae then why do they feature a SW20 MR2, this is no way near a good car for drifting - in fact a Mk4 Supra would show one up badly.

The MK4 Supra wasnt available until late 93 SW20 MR2 was avilable from 1989 in Japan, S14's as early as 92, depending on the EVO they have been going from the early 90's, and again a Gen3 RX can be found as early as 92. Where are you based ? The reason i say that is because these cars were all available in the early 90's in Japan. The Supra might have been out of reach of most kids, but they did feature a skyline, gen 3 rx7, and a bunch of other cars that would be in the same price range, if not more. In a test a few months back the Supra was considered a better handling car than a M3, which says somthing about how good it is ! Not all the cars have a Targa, in fact very few do.

Supra's are heavy but are very balanced and handle very well for a car that size, they handle very well full stop. The car your thinking of is the S14 I believe, the one from the Red Sunsĭude, sorry gotta pull you up on this. Don't get me wrong, Toms Supra and the Denso Supra are amazing cars, but those are full blown out JGTC cars. The only reason people like the Supra now is because of The Fast and the Furious. Now, they can be made as Super race cars like in the GT500, but that takes a hella lot of money to do. it's not good for racing except for the 1/4 mile IMO. I'll tell you why no Supra, they are heavy as hell, unbalanced, the targa top makes it unstable.
